Poeticomedians John Hegley and Clive Pig at Barnstaple Library

Picture
Poeticomedians John Hegley and Clive Pig bring A Little March Madness; comic poetry and song to Barnstaple Library on Saturday 24 March 2012.

John Hegley is widely known as one of the country's most innovative comic poets with several best-selling volumes of poetry to his name. Clive Pig, the Storyfella,  is a storyteller like no other. Using masks & music, puppetry & song, you'll hear some familiar old chestnuts as well as some more unusual tales

John Hegley is a regular sell-out at The Edinburgh Festival. He has performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival, the USA Comedy Festival in Aspen, with Ulrika Jonsson & Anita Dobson in The Pyjama Game and on BBC R4's Hearing With Hegley.  Devon-based Clive Pig is a musician, singer and storyteller. In recent years he's appeared at the Glastonbury Festival, WOMAD, the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Westcountry Storytelling Festival. Two of his stories were featured on The Ocean, BBC Radio 2. His latest CD, Uncle Wolf, is a collection of songs with a twist and tales with teeth.

Suitable for all ages, tickets £1 from Barnstaple Library.
